Physical Therapy for Orthopedic Dysfunctions

Orthopedic Dysfunctions can cause weakness. Rotator cuff tendonitis results from bad posture, injury, repetitive strain, which is also, known as swimmer's shoulder. With frozen shoulder (rotator cuff tendonitis gone bad), dysfunctional arm elevation and the brain's inability to synchronize the movement, over time the cartilage in your joint will become hard from disuse.

Treatment for Orthopedic dysfunctions focuses primarily on relieving pain, swelling and tightening; modalities used include hot packs, cold packs, ultrasound, laser, electrical stimulation and iontophoresis.

Examples of Orthopedic dysfunctions include tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, shoulder dislocation, etc.
